Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) is set to make a major splash at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, the world’s leading travel and tourism trade show, held from 4–6 November at ExCeL London.
This year’s participation will see the Maldives unveil its 2026 Destination Guide and launch the new campaign theme, ‘Ocean Nation’, celebrating the country’s deep connection to the sea and its commitment to sustainability, wellness, and maritime heritage.
The Maldives delegation includes 160 professionals from 70 companies, showcasing the destination’s strength and diversity in global tourism. The Maldives stand — a sprawling 650 sqm space — has been designed to reflect the nation’s unique geography and hospitality. It will feature 46 co-exhibitor counters, 55 B2B meeting tables, three dedicated industry meeting zones, and two information counters. To enhance visitor engagement, the stand will also include a Liverpool FC Fan Zone under the ongoing partnership, and an Interactive Zone with holographic displays showcasing marine life and travel experiences.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and MD of Visit Maldives, said:
“WTM London is a vital platform for us to strengthen the Maldives’ presence in the global market and reaffirm our commitment to partners worldwide. ‘Ocean Nation’ reflects our evolving identity as a destination of natural beauty and ecological leadership.”
To build momentum ahead of WTM, Visit Maldives has launched a two-month taxi advertising campaign across central London. Featuring 100 brightly branded taxis, the initiative brings a splash of tropical colour to the city’s autumn streets, evoking wanderlust and reminding travellers of the warmth and serenity that awaits in the Maldives.
As of 21 October 2025, the Maldives has welcomed 1,763,319 tourist arrivals, a testament to the success of its global campaigns and strategic partnerships.
