Dhiraagu has officially inaugurated its third data centre in N. Velidhoo, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance the Maldives’ digital infrastructure and broaden access to technological solutions across the islands.
The inauguration ceremony, held on 10 November 2025, was jointly officiated by Dhiraagu’s CEO and Managing Director, Mr Ismail Rasheed, and the President of Velidhoo Island Council, Mr Athif Hussain.
The newly launched facility is a Tier III Ready Data Centre, underscoring Dhiraagu’s commitment to global standards of reliability, security, and operational excellence. It is designed to support businesses, including resorts and enterprises in the region, by enabling secure data hosting closer to their operations. The centre will also improve the resilience and efficiency of cloud-based services and critical applications, support business continuity, and offer greater convenience for customers across the atolls.
Earlier this year, Dhiraagu made history by inaugurating the Maldives’ first and only Tier IV Certified Data Centre in Hulhumalé. This certification, awarded by the Uptime Institute, represents the highest level of reliability and fault tolerance, further reinforcing the company’s digital infrastructure capabilities nationwide.
With the launch of its third data centre, Dhiraagu reaffirms its position as the leading digital enabler in the Maldives, continuing to invest in cutting-edge infrastructure that drives innovation, connectivity, and sustainable growth throughout the country.
